Pre-HSE Summative Assessment
The intention of this exam is to help determine when a “Pre-HSE” student is ready to move on to the more comprehensive “HSE” list of objectives found on the Rubicon Reboot Math Units of Study document, as well as the Unit Assessments and Practice TASCs found on P2Gmath.com and P2Gprep.com. Since we are thinking of this summative Pre-HSE assessment as overlapping with the beginning of the HSE materials, this assessment could also serve as a great diagnostic for HSE students. To be clear, many of the question items are TASC level, but represent work we feel all of our students can be, and should be exposed to as soon as possible.
These diagnostics were designed to assess students' ability on skills which are usually considered "Pre-HSE" level. Contained is a 37 question diagnostic, an answer key, and a report sheet that aligns skills with Khan Academy exercises. To find the Khan Academy exercises, simply search for the math skill on the Khan Academy website.
